[Openal] Configure the number of speakers upon initialization

OK - glad that fixed the problem.   Does it perhaps have an option to
"sync" the speaker configuration with Windows?

Well, it seems that I was not aware of the fact that my sound card had
a speaker setup in addition to Windows' own one. By setting the card's
speaker setting to stereo, everything works fine again.
