[Openal] Generic Software: no errors but no sound

It would also be useful to know which sound devices you have installed in
the 2 problematic PCs.    Do they have up-to-date drivers installed?

The Windows code in the SVN repo is old (as well as the Sample code.. I

Have you tried to remove/delete the DLLs you built and using the ones the
redistributable installer installs? I don't think the SDK runs the
installer
automatically, but even if so, double check that the DLLs you built are
gone.
