Chris and I are working on it (hopefully not just for Fedora, but for 
all distros).  The right way to do this (from what I can tell so far) is 
to change the OpenAL repository to include OpenAL-Soft and make it clear 
that the old SI is deprecated.

If there's anyone with experience in creating packages for the various 
distributions, I'd be glad to hear your input.
