[Openal] Frequency & Pitch Shifter attribute bounds..

Hi Dan & thanks for taking the time,

I'm using an X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook & the drivers are updated.

I see now that I didn't mention this in my post, but EFX10ShowWin32 works fine for me, as well, with all effects, that's why I was dazzled. If it had been the same with this SDK app, I would have guessed someone found the problem by now...

I just thought someone already ran in to this problem in the same way that I have... I raised this problem in the TaoFramework forums, but I've yet to get an answer...

As far as coding is concerned, all the other effects I've implemented int the same way (Echo, Reverb, Flanger) work fine within  EFX ranges & Tao readings don't seem to mention any problems with this.

I'm mainly interested in the Auto-Wah, because I'm trying to mimic a professional CD-Player and Pioneer hardware usually has the Jet/Zip/Wah effects.
(...by the way, if you happen to have any suggestions for coding a VU-meter or a Spectrum Display for OAL, please share ).

Thanks

Alex.

Hi Alex,

What soundcard are you using, and does it have up-to-date drivers
installed? If I run EFX10Show (included in the Windows OpenAL SDK) I
can set the full range of parameters for all the effect parameters you
mentioned here. I also ran some further tests and didn't see any
problems with effect parameter ranges.

Dan
