It should, although I've heard reports of crashes in the router with it. I 
haven't been able to investigate myself, but it's possibly due to no playback 
devices being reported.. although that shouldn't be an issue anymore since 
the wave file writer is always available now (and configuring without dsound 
should probably be an error anyway).
