[Openal] No OpenAL devices found for SigmaTel integrated audio

Ah, that's rather curious. Yes the OpenAL SDK examples work just fine.
A single Generic Software device is enumerated.

The main difference between my code and the examples is I'm not using
LoadOAL, just linking to the OpenAL32.lib.

And no we haven't updated the drivers. We're trying not to have to
update the audio drivers, since this platform is in already in use at
multiple locations.

It correctly plays sounds in applications and games. I installed the
latest OpenAL version available (summer 2007). The device enumeration
extension is available and reports 0 devices. If I still attempt to
query "Generic Software" or "Generic Hardware", alcOpenDevice returns
NULL. I don't get any OpenAL errors.

Any ideas?

Hi, Tim,

Have you updated your audio card drivers recently?

Did you install the OpenAL 1.1 SDK, or just the run-time? If you
installed the SDK, do any of the examples work?
