[Openal] Sound Attributes

Hi,
There is no way to retrieve the final computed volume and pitch levels on a
particular Source (e.g after attenuation by distance, cone orientations,
gains, min and max gains, Doppler, etc ... etc ...). Depending upon the
OpenAL implementation these calculations may actually be performed in a
soundcard's audio drivers where the values are not easily retrieved.
All of the formulas used to compute the values are in the OpenAL
specification - so although it is somewhat of a pain - you could compute
these values yourself.

I have been searching extensively about openAL and trying to find functions
or libraries that allow you to extract attributes of the sound stream/file
that is being processed, eg volume, pitch, etc.
Do you guys know of any way to do so? Thank you very much.
(any extended libraries or ideas on how to do it are most appreciated!)
