Next-generation cross-platform Audio technology with OpenAL

Creative Labs' Peter Harrison and Codemasters' Simon N Goodwin will explore
the role of OpenAL in a cross-platform audio engine as developed by
Codemasters Software for the latest installment of their renowned "Colin
McRae" series of rally games. They'll pay special attention to the DSP
capabilities offered by OpenAL's new Effects Extensions, and take a look at
plans to enhance the API in future with new processing and routing options.

Advanced Audio Techniques in UnrealEngine3

Creative Labs's Carlo Vogelsang, Epic Games' Daniel Vogel, and Will Brandt
& Nick Whiting from America's Army explain the concepts and ideas behind
UnrealEngine3's redesigned audio system. From the most abstract audio
designer layer to the implementation of the actual platform dependent
layer. The focus is on designing an audio system that can extract the best
from a variety of different platforms using a single flexible audio API.
