[Openal] Filters

Hi,

If I went ahead and just created a direct filter and say 2 auxiliary filters 
for every source created, would they put extra demand on the software 
renderer, even if their default values were set? (or to put it  another way. 
I'm assuming default filter values would have no effect on the sound played, 
so does the software renderer notice this and skip filter processing if so?)
