[Openal] How to publish a Director movie with OpenAL Xtra

I thought I had done everything right to publish my movie in Director that uses a simple implementation of the OpenAL Xtra, but there is no sound at all in the published exe.  I've added the OpenAL Xtra to the movie (Modify > Movie > Xtras), and can publish the sample director movie included with the OpenAL installation.  I'm using Director MX 2004, and think I have all of the publish settings correct.  Any suggestions?  I could include my director movie if needed.
