Are you sure that we installed it? I don't have it on any of my Panther or
Leopard systems.

My guess is that this was installed on Tiger (pre-Panther).

Going forward I believe that you only really want to be linked against the
<<SDK>/System/Library/Framework/OpenAL>. Unless your app's installer also
installs the </Library/Framework/OpenAL> folder on your users systems.
