[Openal] Multi-Channel Extension

Hi RJ,

I'll answer both emails here.

Sending audio to specific speakers is not directly supported in OpenAL at
the moment (it would be a useful addition).   There are currently two
options ... play a multi-channel wave file using the Multi-Channel
extension (PC only, as far as I know), or use 3D positions to put the sound
in the right location to be rendered by a particular speaker.   The later
option is never going to be precise though because it is dependant upon the
speaker mode and configuration.

The Multi-channel extension is documented in the Programmer's Guide in the
latest PC OpenAL SDK ( available from http://developer.creative.com ).
The SDK includes some example source code that shows how to play a 5.1
WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE file.

Hi Guys,
Can somebody provide me some pointers to the documentation of multi-
channel buffer extension.I have openAl programming guide as well as
specification document, but  nothing much is explained over there.
Any help will be deeply appreciated.
