Controlling HF Rolloff and other similar effects is not a core feature 
of OpenAL, although there may be default settings for these types of 
effects for some implementations.  Any manipulation of these types of 
effects can be done most appropriately through the EFX extension, which 
is available on Windows (exclusively for now -- there will be a Linux 
implementation for the X-Fi boards next year).  For more information on
