Thanks, I'll play around with it for a bit.

In fact, I've already tried it. It's two years old and didn't even
compile at first... then I had trouble to link altest against it.
But I'll try some more!

BTW I tried to uninstall Ubuntu openal and alut and compiled them from
today's SVN.
No luck, results were exactly the same :(
