I don't think so. Have you taken a look into alc_speaker.*? You will notice 
only 2ch and 4ch are properly positioned. I know this, as i once hacked it to 
get more. I would really like to have more flexible channel output from the 
SI, but I think we need something more configureable than current static 
speaker positions. Furthermore I'd like to distinguish between channels 
OpenAL renders and Channels, which are given out - in case of up/downmix.
