[Openal] Openal Devices ???

Hi,

I have been roaming in the aldlist.cpp and i do not understand this:

ALFunction.alcOpenDevice(devices); either devices is set to hw or sw 
ALCcontext *context = ALFunction.alcCreateContext(device, NULL);
ALFunction.alcMakeContextCurrent(context);

when the device and its context are created, the following

ALFunction.alcGetString(device, ALC_DEVICE_SPECIFIER);

always return a "Generic Software" thing, even if the device was created with "Generic Hardware" parameter ... bug ? guess maybe nobody ever lokked at that ? dono

I got an m-audio hw card and i want to use its hardware features
I am not sure i get this right
