[OpenAL] API inconsistency between Linux and Windows

Hi,
I'm trying to migrate from OpenAL 1.0 to 1.1 for my engine, but I've a few problems. For Linux, I'm using CVS HEAD (and it runs perfectly) and "official" SDK for win32 (found on Creative website).
It seems that ALUT is absolutely not the same. For example, with the win32 SDK, "alutInit" returns "void", and I can't find "alutLoadMemoryFromFile"... When I try to use "old" 1.0 API with this new SDK, I only get a crash (the provided OpenALDemo have the same problem).
How can I make a portable application with OpenAL 1.1 ? Is there any updated SDK available somewhere ? A nightly build ?
