Hello,

I would like to get started with OpenAL but cannot complete even the
first step! I've got the latest CVS software for Linux but cannot
configure it.

1. autogen.sh gives the error:
(Mandrake 9.1, autoconf-2.13)
Usage: autoreconf [-f] [-h] [--help] [-m dir] [--macrodir=dir]
[-l dir] [--localdir=dir] [--force] [--verbose] [--version]
[--cygnus] [--foreign] [--gnits] [--gnu] [-i] [--include-deps]
(Mandrake 9.1, autoconf-2.13)

2. autogen.sh gives the errors:
(Mandriva 10.2, autoconf-2.59)
automake: unrecognized option -- `--force-missing'
configure.ac:28: warning: The macro `AC_HELP_STRING' is obsolete.
configure.ac:28: You should run autoupdate.
configure.ac:28: warning: The macro `AC_TRY_LINK' is obsolete.
etc.
If I run autoupdate it says:
tmp/input.m4:111: /usr/bin/m4: ERROR: Recursion limit of 250 exceeded

What exactly am I supposed to do?

Andrew
