[Openal] Need some help!

Every time, somebody has some problem you (and the webpage too)
recommend to
download the latest source from the CVS.
I think, it's not the right way. 
What would you say when you should use CVS for getting the zlib, libpng,
libjpeg, freetype etc.
even if you just want to download and try/use them?
Please make snapshots at least in every two month or so...
OpenAL never will have such acceptance as OpenGL if it's VERY hard to
"getting started".
Just see to the OpenML specification: it uses OpenGL, but wait, where is
OpenAL?
