If that is possible all I can hope is that you will take a look at it at 
some point :-)

And you were right about windows. Turn off HW acceleration and the delay 
appears. Somewhere about 8192 level, maybe even a little bit more.

Thanks for your help. I'll have to live with 2048 and hope there wont be 
much statics.
