[Openal-devel] Leopard, OpenAL and 7.1 systems

Hi,

We're doing auditory attention research and we need to be able to render sound on a at least a 7.1 (but preferrably 10) speaker system on Leopard.  

We've configured (and tested) the 7 speakers and the subwoofer via Audio Midi Setup, but when we render audio using OpenAL we're seeing activity on only 5 of the speakers.

Is OpenAL on OS X limited to 5.1 audio, or are there settings aside from Audio Midi Setup that need to be configured to allow OpenAL to render to something higher end than a 5.1 system?
