I just ran a quick test (testda, etc.), and it seems OK.  I can't test
the 4-channel stuff because all we have left of our once-proud
collection of SGI machines is a couple of Octanes, which only have the
ADAT port for multichannel audio, and we don't have the hardware to use
it.   We just don't use IRIX as much as we used to.
