Yeah, it's faster. Here are some benchmarks I just took with UT2004
3236.1:
Sound Disabled:
dm-rankin?spectatoronly=3D1?numbots=3D12?quickstart=3D1?attractcam=3D1 -
benchmark=20
-seconds=3D77 -ini=3Ddefault.ini -nosound -exec=3D../Benchmark/Stuff/
botmatchexec.txt
18.811409 / 69.025719 / 176.984421 fps rand[367583514]
Score =3D 65.941216
Chris Purnell's Hardware Accelerated OpenAL:
dm-rankin?spectatoronly=3D1?numbots=3D12?quickstart=3D1?attractcam=3D1 -
benchmark=20
-seconds=3D77 -ini=3Ddefault.ini -exec=3D../Benchmark/Stuff/botmatchexec.t=
xt
31.223583 / 62.861176 / 166.259064 fps rand[367583514]
Score =3D 61.191025
Regular OpenAL from CVS:
dm-rankin?spectatoronly=3D1?numbots=3D12?quickstart=3D1?attractcam=3D1 -
benchmark=20
-seconds=3D77 -ini=3Ddefault.ini -exec=3D../Benchmark/Stuff/botmatchexec.t=
xt
25.219307 / 56.532627 / 163.399429 fps rand[367583514]
Score =3D 55.572338
The only problem I've encountered so far is that for some reason I hear
the taunts, ever. Not sure why this is happening as I don't have much of
a clue how UT2004/OpenAL work.
